About Us

Rotary Bangalore Orchards (RBO), chartered in 1986 with Late Sri. PDG Nagaraja Gupta as its Charter President, has a rich legacy of impactful projects. From environmental protection to senior citizen care, medical aid for the needy, and empowering women, our initiatives span diverse areas. With 100+ dedicated members, professionals and business owners in various fields, we uphold the "Service Above Self" ethos, striving under District 3191 to reach new heights in humanitarian service. RBO also operates two trusts, the Rotary Bangalore Orchards Trust, and the Rotary Orchards Chaitanya Senior Citizens Home Trust.

Our flagship initiatives are:

The Rotary Orchards Chaitanya Senior Citizens Home (ROCSCH) spans 27,000 sq.ft. across ground plus two floors, accommodating 100 senior citizens. Located at Baglur Cross, Bangalore International Airport Road, Yelahanka, it occupies a 3/4-acre plot donated by a philanthropic family to RBO. Inaugurated on February 6, 2016, ROCSCH began operations on October 1, 2017, after completion at a cost of Rs. 7.0 CR. Oversight is provided by a board comprising of 13 Rotarians from RBO and 6 family representatives of the land donor.

The Vasanthnagar Government School, an impressive modern building spans 20,000 sq. ft. across four floors, was designed and constructed at a cost of approximately Rs. 4.25 CR by RBO. Completed in a remarkable 11 months, the Vasanthnagar Government School accommodates 600+ students. It aims to deliver high-quality education in a clean, well-ventilated environment, particularly benefiting economically disadvantaged students.

ADAVI - Dakoju Afforestation - Chalkkere is an initiative to green 1,500 acres of land in central Karnataka, one of the driest areas of the state. The project is a collaboration with a local community organization, led by RBO’s Green Man, Rtn. Neil Michael Joseph, and funded by Rtn. Ravishankar Dakoju with a grant of Rs. 5 CR. Spanning four years, the initiative aims to plant various environmentally sustainable trees, rejuvenate water resources, and create livelihood options for the local community.
